Remote Aboriginal Communities Maintenance Grants Program

AUSTRALIA — The Western Australian government's $16.7 million Remote Aboriginal Communities Maintenance Grants Program has funded significant maintenance work on over 100 housing dwellings in remote Aboriginal communities across WA. Hands Out Build Group has been awarded funding to carry out maintenance in 10 communities within the Goldfields-Esperance, Kimberley, Pilbara, Mid-West, and Gascoyne regions. To date, over 125 homes have received substantial improvements, with work on an additional 60 homes underway. Completed maintenance includes kitchen and bathroom upgrades, cabinetry replacement, pest control, waterproofing, and flooring repairs, improving living conditions for tenants.

Road Sign Maintenance and Asphalt Resurfacing Program

Manningham Council in Australia has initiated a project to improve traffic sign clarity and road safety. Hands Out Build Group is tasked with inspecting, repairing, and replacing small road signs, as well as resurfacing asphalt at the Interaction intersection. To date, over 40 road signs have been maintained, with asphalt resurfacing expected to be completed soon. Hands Out Build Group has deployed significant resources, including repair tools and high-quality materials. Risks such as weather and traffic congestion have been managed through extra time, traffic diversions, and multiple material sources. Once completed, the project will enhance road safety and infrastructure, benefiting the Manningham community.
